Dear all Having just joined this mailing list I hope the following hasn't been covered in recent discussions.
The Gliding Club of Victoria (GCV) wishes to intall Flarms in its two 235 HP Pawnees and would like to avail itself of the collective wisdom of the gliding community in this regard. We have the following questions: i) where is a good location to install the Flarm unit? Digital photographs or mobile phone photographs of an installation would be useful. ii) where has the Flarm aerial been installed and what is the installation method? Again photos would be useful. How is the aerial cable run to the Flarm unit? iii) what electrical circuit breaker has been tapped into for the power supply of the Flarm? iv) is it possible to connect the Flarm audio output into the head- set connection socket? v) is CAR 35 approval required for the installation? If so, does someone have a CAR 35 approval we could use (possibly contributing towards the cost of the approval)? We look forward to responses about these questions. TIA.
