For those interested, Dotars has released new arrangements for importing trailers and is listed on their website at: http://www.dotars.gov.au/roads/safety/bulletin/trailerimporters.aspx >From what I can make out, the import requirements are basically remains the same, although there is now the added requirement to submit the maunfacturers Total Mass data for the trailer.
