Terry we understood the day was cancelled due to rain.
We intend to put the races on a big screen so we can all watch it
can you confirm that there was a race today.

Day 1 has just started low cloud this morning, didn't look too
promising, but it has all lifted and they are getting climbs to over
7000 feet now (mind you the mountains are 5-6,000 where they are
going).
A great atmosphere here, currently sitting in the clubhouse,
watching the big screen with tracking and commentary. Room is full of
people.
I suggest that it would be worth geting the tracking on your
computer, tey are doing a great job.

A minor correction
Bruce Taylor is competing while Terry Cubley is there as referee. I
think the HD quality may well be worth it for the views that will be
provided of the NZ mountains and scenery.

Just a reminder GPgliding begins tomorrow (Wednesday) and can be
viewed I gather in basic form free and in HD quality for about $A28
for the 5 days and Wanaka Air Games are $A12 extra Shots will be live
for the cockpit etc. Day viewing is also available and about $A8
Bruce Taylor and Terry Cubley are flying while Ann-Kathrin Kiehn is
one of the commentators you will hear live.
Think Peter Newport and his team airsportlive need supporting for
giving gliding such a profile and some of this technology is from a
team at ABC Melbourne I gather. Think all this was developed for
Americas Cup Yachting and now it has come to gliding
For the cost of a box of beer it may be worth viewing!!!
