I use heavy thorn resistant tubes on my mountain bike with good success. It
does not have to be flash; we just need our tow out
gear to be bullet (thorn) proof.

repairs on car tyres.
It's a pressure pack foam-in-a-can thing. You squirt it in through
the valve fitting, and it inflates the tyre then sets into a sponge-like
consistency in about ten minutes.
