Not so sure modern Diesel is "less refined". The currently available
fuel has a very low sulphur content. This must either restrict the
source material or impose much more processing at the refinery.

Interestingly, I am in Singapore right now (isn't that where our price
for Crude oil is set) and I am looking at a Shell station with
unleaded at SG$2.01 and diesel at SG$1.58. In real terms the unleaded
is about AUD$1.66 and diesel is AUD$1.30.
If only I could buy diesel at that price for my new turbo diesel that
I got last week.

Melbourne ULP $1.36
Auckland ULP $$1.89
What is the go there?
