Hi Dion,

its surprising how many people are afflicted, and how many dont even know it. Most get through life fine, like my electrician freind who is colourblind - wont tell anyone- and gets through his work fine even though he is troubled like yourself, between green and red.
Pretty scary for a sparky.

On that issue, I once had to get a medical for a ski-racing authorisation. Went to my local GP and asked for the certificate, he and I went way back, he knew I was healthy. He had an intern(?) with him for a time, learning, so got the intern to test my health. Went through the whole body, then tested colourblindness with the dot book, I failed. I was devestated but as my father spent his life afflicted, not entirely surprised. Back to the GP, he reckoned such a eye fault wouldnt affect a ski - racer so with a wink, re-tested me himself. Yippee, I would pass regardless, I thought.
Turns out my eyesight was OK, the intern was blind as a bat!
