G'day All,
Got some really great news to tell you all about (for those that care!), this
afternoon I passed my 7th Airline Transport Pilots License theory subject! So,
until I can get another 8hrs co-pilot night time, I'll have a frozen ATPL :).
This also brings on more good news, as I'm now able to bid for command with
Regional Express (REX - www.rex.com.au). Believe it or not, but because the
attrition to other airlines has been so great in recent times, after being
checked to line for only 4 months - I'm next in line to be a CAPTAIN!!!
For all of you (and theres a lot!) out there that have been spuring me on to
complete these subjects, thanks for the push and encouragement. It's feels as
great as I first thought, actually still on a high :).
Other than that, for the past 7 months my life has only existed for the study.
Can't even remember the last time I went gliding :(. After the command
training, I plan on getting my life back. With any luck, REX will open up the
Brissy base again and I'll be one happy camper.
My gliding goals this year is simple: to enjoy every hour in a sailplane that
I can get! I'm entering into the Kingaroy (!) Club Class Nationals, and into
JoeyGlide. My remaining two weeks of leave will be spent at Narromine with my
Dad and other mates, trying for the tonne!
My 1/4 share in LS1-f WR is also up for graps, if anyone is keen on getting
their hands on this little beauty, then please get in contact with me. The
only reason I'm selling, is that I'm now in a position to own my own glider.
Anyone got a cirrus for sale in about 3months time!?
