ENOUGH IS ENOUGH - L-Nav & S-Nav owners at one phone call a week!!!

These units both have an internal 3 volt battery - I suggest all owners
pick up a CR2032 battery (smaller and thicker than original but fits)
button cell at the supermarket checkout for $3.50 and remove cover yourself
and replace if original has unknown history. When it fails you get crazy
performance and you loose your polar information. When you replace same it
reverts to ASW20 glider so adjust CALIBRATE page. Please read Manual and
your vario and ASI offsets may need adjusting as well. We check our ASI in
a form 2 but people forget to read the L/S-NAV ASI in the CONFIGURE page1
When finished write on case "Replace internal battery 2015" - it may last 12
years!!!

Please tell others in you club of this one and before next flight PLEASE
CHECK this battery. While on any cambridge C,M, L, S NAV it may be worth
raising the eprom (chip in socket with paper lable) 1mm each side and
pushing especially if glider is stored on coast or there has been much wet
weather.

Model 20 loggers also have same battery but this battery can be read from
front screen (or in your PC if you have a blind logger) The battery for
this is under antenna and so long as you remain connected to 12v power
during changeover the logger seal is not lost. Use the cardboard with the
battery to slide and battery out.

At the moment Australia Post are just benefiting with the sale of 2 extra
express bags a week to and from me at $21!!

Am I frustrated - yes I am!!

Could somebody in each club please post on their clubs email list *and my
blood pressure may improve!! *
