That's fantastic! The club league really promotes getting out to fly every
weekend.
In the first year of the OLC's club league, my home club (Tehachapi Soaring
in California)
finished tied for 9th in the World, and we didn't even know we were
competing! Since then, clubs who figured out that getting a score - ANY
score - every week mattered, our small club was wiped out.
  If the
rules are the same as the league based on the northern summer, it
scores you on the fastest two and a half hours of a flight. One rule
not so obvious: A competitor can only have their single best flight
scored each round, so don't count on your local race pilot to pull you
through the round alone!
Jim
(Aus club LKSC, see you in January)
