Cath, I have to say I didn't know you were responsible for that infamous
acronym! Good one :-)

Meanwhile, the AJGC has succesfully run another successful JoeyGlide
competition, thanks in no small way to comp director Heath L'Estrange and
the Gliding Club of Victoria (amongst many). On behalf of the AJGC, we can't
thank you enough for all your hard efforts.

Whilst down in Benalla, the AJGC had its AGM, and there are a lot of ideas
and energy being generated for supporting junior pilots, particularly those
in the vulnerable post-solo stage and early stages of competition. Stay
tuned to our website <http://www.ajgc.org.au> for news and watch Soaring
Australia for upcoming articles :-)

Meanwhile, the OFITTH hats had quite a showing at JoeyGlide. Many Juniors,
including myself and the comp director were wearing them, mine in particular
has become particularly grubby and is now looking like a true gliding hat!
Surprisingly enough, it was actually very practical and managed to mop up a
lot of sweat as I chugged through the sky in my lil' Libelle :-) The humour
wasn't lost on the Juniors and there was a lot of interest in bringing the
Terry Towelling back!

Now, we still have a few of these left, so jump in soon and grab one so you
can receive them before Christmas. Give 'em as presents to fellow pilots,
get one for yourself, even if you just need a stylish rag, these will do the
job for you. Most importantly, you will be helping young pilots into the
sport and keeping them encouraged so that they can become OFITTHs themselves
:-) At $25, you can't go wrong!

The Australian Junior Gliding Club welcomes all members of the gliding
community as members, and as usual if you want to join the club we will
gladly welcome your input, and naturally you will receive a complimentary
hat :-)

Any questions, queries, compliments and criticisms can be directed to me at
[email protected] or our smooth-talking President, Adam (Charlie) I'anson.

Now, the link to your hat is here <http://ajgc.org.au/content/view/21/32/>.
Safe circles!
