I hope the turbo engine last for more than 3 hours.

Guys,
Here is some info i have been getting FYI.

It is possible there will be 2 new Arcus at Narromine this next season, i am
sure if anyone is interested a seat can be had for demo or just the thrill,
from conversations had it is a V2cx in all ways except the extra POB, its
really going to give both open and 18m gliders a damn good run.

Engine options at this time ar rumoured to be the Electric self launch
system from the Antares (high cost) the current Nimbus4dm self launch system
and possibly a jet sustainer system that can be retro fitted later if need
be, jets sound great for our country.
I have asked if the fuel can be stored in the outer panels to keep the non
lifting parts down as much as possible, we will see.

For all the aging comp pilots, here is a class where you can go like stink,
still have friends and have another set of peepers in the cockpit with you.

It is expected that the issues that came with the first Duo's and the
Ventus2 engine will not hapen again, a lesson learned so to speak.

I also hear there are in excess of 50 orders already, so if you are at all
interested i would contact Chris ASAP.

Cheers
Mark

Maiden flight of the Arcus
On 7 April 2009 Tilo Holighaus and Christoph Wannenmacher started with the
Arcus on the airfield Hahnweide to the first flight. Afterwards some other
pilots could convince themselves in good thermal conditions of the
outstanding flight characteristics. This twoseater is as agile as a
singleseater - a perfect flight feeling! We are convinced that this flapped
sailplane will set a new standard.

Regards

Chris
