Hi, Why just first three placings? It is a gliding magazine after all and I do not mind seeing names of all participants. If we are serious on popularising competition flying, why not acknowledge pilots who had a go but did not made it to the top three? Imagine say, an AFL ladder in a paper with only top three teams listed...
It seems to me that it is a recent thing that only names of top places takers are published, flipping through some old issues of the magazine I can see that it was not the case in the past. I appreciate that the answer for this could be that the full comp ladder can be found on-line, but some competition site are taken off-line soon after the competition finishes and we (the gliding public) virtually loose record of the competiton.
