Another factor is that Klaus Ohlmann tends to fly undeclared TP tasks
and just let the OLC or See You software detect his best 4-leg flight
after the event.
For that distance it sounds like Terry Delore flew a pre-declared
4-leg task to claim a world record - and all subject to homologation of course.

The OLC rules are not necessarily the same as those for World
Records. This doesn't take away from the achievement of either
pilot of course, but may have a bearing on who can claim what in
terms of records.
