Hi John

The monthly newsletter and the Director's speech have been up for about 10 days
now - nothing terribly new or "interesting" to those who have been following
it, so long as expectations of what volunteers can do within the limitations of
funding available to them and the requisite level of "assurance" are reasonable.

The Handbook itself is little more than was in draft form two years ago (and
more) introduced from a Safety Management perspective. Much of what already
exists (or has recently been put together from members with the relevant skills
at writing them) will make a good foundation for the documents that will
satisfy the requirement.

  Hi Folks,

  This just appeared on the CASA website:

  http://www.casa.gov.au/scripts/nc.dll?WCMS:STANDARD::pc=PC_100193

  And this is definitely worth reading:

  Looks like we're in for "interesting times."

  John Welsh.
