As people are probably aware, the Queensland State competition has been
cancelled (for the first time in ??? years/decades/ever ???) due to to
the weather. As we broke up today and headed off, I was asked if I would
provide a forecast for Dalby for next week as quite a number of people
are going to be there trying to get some flying in before the nationals.
So, on Friday morning I will post a lookahead style forecast (as I did
for the ill-fated state comps) at

in addition to the usual full weekend forecast for the Darling Downs.
Whilst I have your attention, I've been asked to give 2 one hour talks
on meteorology as part of the Gliding Queensland seminar series. These
will both happen on Tuesday 2 November.
In order to make the talks as pertinent as possible (without getting too
abstruse), I'd appreciate people suggesting topics they would like to
see covered - so please email me (off list by preference).
