GETTING
THERE: For those flying into Gawler
Gawler Aerodrome is located in R259 which is surface to 1500 and rarely
activated, most weekends' additional clearance is available and advised to the
gliding club.
Refer to ERSA for circuit information and be aware of close proximity to
military airspace to the west of aerodrome, it is possible to infringe by
making too large a circuit.
Keep to prepared surfaces unless you have checked out the grass as the grass
may be long.
CTAF is 122.5 and expect to find gliders and sport aircraft in the vicinity.
Aircraft parking is available on grass area between clubhouse and first row of
hangars.

For those driving to Gawler
Gawler Aerodrome can now be accessed from either the new Northern Expressway or
Main North Road.
Those coming from the south should take Port Wakefield road from Gepps Cross
and will find the entry to the expressway about 15 K's from Gepps Cross.
Then it is a very pleasant drive along our new $500m plus road to Gawler
avoiding many sets of traffic lights.
>From the Expressway or Gawler bypass take the Mallala exit and follow the
>small blue signs to the airfield.
>From the end of the exit road turn right into Mallala Road
Turn left into Kentish Road
Turn left into Lange Road
Turn left into Wards Belt Road
Airfield entrance is at end of Wards Belt Road.
Proceed to rows of hangars and turn down the 3rd or 4th roadway and you will
find the Roediger and Michell hangars at the far end nearest the runway.
