Hello All, The latest issue of Keep Soaring is about to land, electronically speaking, on your doorstep.
The last issue of Keep Soaring got the vote as "Australia's best club newsletter". thank you Mike! You can't take statistics too seriously, but there were over 7,000 downloads of the last issue. The latest issue hopefully follows in this tradition with a lot of great articles from all sorts of contributors. Todd Clark has a list of interesting and unusual goals to to achieve in this coming season. Phil Anderton has a moan about "mere pilots" being nice to their tuggie this season. After a read of the article, you may feel like a mere pilot with an increased risk for some of the long suffering people who make our sport possible. Peter Sheils and Ross Edwards have written about their amazing trek around the aviation museums in the USA including the Smithsonian and Oshkosh this year. Dave Shorter has finished his AAT article with some ideas about the speed you can expect to fly on a particular day. Mr. Pink has scribbled a few notes, in his normally perfect English (spelling, grammar and punctuation). Any mistakes in his section are surely mine and mine alone. There's an interesting article by Harry Medlicott (after Hank Kaufman) on stitching energy lines or cloud streets with some background on Sir Francis Chichester. The Flying Doctor flies again. And there are articles on alternative power plants for SLGs and Ultralight gliders to keep you on your toes. Thanks again to all who contributed to making this a great issue! This ones about 47 pages long. The HR Version is about 11 MB and the low-res version around 3.6 MB.
