Not sure about that ASIC thing Mal.
I flew into Parafield most recently only a couple of weeks ago to deliver a Pawnee. Walked around the hangars and saw some people. I have never had an ASIC.

My understanding is that Parafield is half way type of aerodrome. While it is a nominated secure aerodrome there is _no RPT_, consequently no secure areas and so an ASIC is _not_ required.
If I am wrong I am sure others will set me right in due course! :-)

You could call one of the local schools. Maybe try Forsyths (08) 8281 5444

Check ERSA, ASIC required for Parafield. Gawler looks ok but call operator,
number in ERSA. Alternatively try Aldinga, down south of Adelaide

Subject: [Aus-soaring] Flying to Adelaide

Could any south australian pilots who fly power as well as gliders help me?

Wanting to fly to Adelaide this week - never done Parafield before but
it looks not too bad to do, however I notice that my ASIC card has gone
out of date! Will it be a problem there or otherwise is there a better
alternative to fly in to? Gawler?

Your help and advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jenny
