Glider pilot hurt in Wandiligong crash VICTORIA MACDONALD 31 Jan, 2011 01:00 AM A WANDILIGONG man was injured after a glider crash at the Porepunkah airfield on Saturday. Leading Sen-Constable Tony Finlaw, of Bright police, said the 63-year-olds self-launching sail plane had struck a fence while he tried to land about 3.20pm.
The impact caused the plastic glass over the cockpit to shatter in the pilots face, he said. He had multiple facial injuries.
