Indeed - looking out towards the central south Pacific there does appear to be something going on in terms of circulation (I first saw this about midday yesterday but it may have been there a bit earlier) and looking at the most recent Pacific Ocean MSLP

there is a small low forming on the tip of a trough that was not showing on the previous chart. Here's hoping that it does not wind up into yet a third cyclone.
