It takes Around 2 KW-hours of energy to launch a 500 Kg glider to
2000 feet. So the full system will give a total of around 7000 feet
or so of climb. Say a launch plus a 5000 foot climb for a retrieve or
save. Maybe a little better depending on some efficiencies.
Anyone know the max Non Lifting parts mass and fuselage and tail mass
of say the Ventus 2CM, PIK20E or other gliders?
