I never was - though sometimes I think we would all be better off
under a benevolent dictator. It /They (the Government) used to pay
me for trying to look after you lot - perhaps if you all threw more
money at me I could have another go?
Unfortunately there are now so many of them that they get confused,
poor things: and then there's another lot that think they would like
to have a go instead, but I doubt they could do any better. That
nice Mr Rabbit just keeps going round and round in circles and can't
remember where he's been or what he was trying to do last time he was there.
Maybe it's time we all had a revolt and did revolting things, but I
wonder if some of us don't already. Plate tectonics has us heading
toward China, but some of them want to dig all our country up and
sell it to them even before we arrive there. Somebody even old me the
other day that if we were to use the power of the waves for our
energy needs it would drive the moon away and the days would seem
even longer... *
* using wave energy will eventually slow the earth's rotation and
increase the earth-moon distance. But then, eventually the Sun will
grow bigger and swallow us all up - though the best estimates are
that it will take around another 10 billion years, if we are still
here to see it by then!
