In February this year, the Board agreed to bring back the ITC Fund (out of General Reserves) and account for it separately. Final agreement on the process will be discussed and determined at the September Board meeting. I (as Chair Sports Committee) am to write a proposal outlining the guidelines/rules for the fund and how it will work into the future.
>From the Interim Minutes: "That the Board; (1) agrees to make a journal entry in its financial accounts to recognise the ITC Reserve amount, with the Chair Sports Committee to submit a full review of Australian International Teams Funding and detailed guidelines on how the reserve will be managed (including how the funds will be spent and how income and external fund raising will be applied) at the next Board Meeting. Current funding arrangements, in accordance with regulation 11.3, to be maintained." I am asking for input (OFFLINE) so that my proposal covers all the issues and considers the various member based viewpoints. I am also happy to provide background information and correspond with members privately. I invite all suggestions and will try to incorporate the consensus in a meaningful way. My timeframe is to collect input this month (24th June). Write the proposal and put it out for discussion (22nd July). Finalise the paper for submission to the Board (mid August).
