Hi folks

The updated weekend forecast is available at http://the-white-knight-speaks.blogspot.com

There has been some easing of the thinderstorm potential on Saturday, but it still remains SEVERE  - the CAPE at 1600 J/kg (was 1800 J/kg) (storms usually start at a CAPE of about 600 - 700 J/kg) and SLI at -6C ( was -8C the more negative, the stronger the storms - and an SLI of -6C is considered the threshold for severe storms).

Hopefully, there will be a further easing of the thunderstorm danger - BUT at this stage the risk remains high there will be severe storms in SE Queensland tomorrow.

You would not want to be airborne anywhere near such storms - or trying to move a glider into a hangar or trailer. Please check the weather and warnings carefully tomorrow before you even think of opening the hangar doors.
