Another report quotes the NTSB investigators confirming that the tail dolly had been left on. Full details are posted on rec.aviation.soaring. It is hard to see how this would have caused the accident with three up. Two other theories are the accident could have been caused by an unrestrained child freaking out, or take off had been achieved with one of the controls disconnected.
