After 5 tries to call Reiner, e-mails to various OLC addresses, and, as
usual, no reply, all of a sudden this mail came in yesterday.****

So, I keep quiet for now, and we hope, that something positive happens. The
sales damage due to the OLC behaviour and the automatic OLC server answers,
blaming me for all, is high.****

Gentleman,
the holidays are over ... now we'll implement the DLL and we'll test with
the files from your e-mail below.
We'll give you an information when the activities are finished.
Best regards - Reiner

 Hi Reiner,****

 ****

Attached you will find four IGC Files and the new VALI-DLL for Cambridge
Model 10/20/25 Flight Recorders. ****

 ****

- The DLL works like any other VALI DLL****

- The four test files all pass security check; your programmers can
modify these files to make sure the security check works if the files are
tampered with****

- Model 10/20/25 IGC Files are identified with the three digit code "CAL"
in the A-Record, and the DLL knows to look for this code****

Yes Reiner, that is exactly what we will send. You will receive IGC files
that you can validate using the DLL we supply. The code in the header
record will be CAL. You will process these files like any other IGC file. *

be treated as if they come from different companies. When the current
Cambridge bought the 302 manufacturing rights, they were not interested in
the Model 10/20/25 line. So, these legacy recorders are not related to the
302 line.

A-Record of an IGC File can be used to identify the appropriate validation
routine. So, there can be a CAM, CAL, CAX for example. This is spelled
out in the IGC specifications. Note that the OLC already does this for
OLC-only recorders - you have literally a dozen or more FRs using
the 1-Digit code "X" with the 3-Digits required to uniquely identify the
recorder (SeeYou, Flarm, Ilec, etc.).
