Dom James was tow pilot at Keepit in his youth and as such he reached solo in gliders. As was 30yrs ago the Gimley B767 pilot as was Hudson River A320 pilot and 20yrs ago Brad Edwards put out Mayday when Turbo Mooney engine blew up. Brad landed safely but that cost him $3OK for new engine as now it was not an insurance claim. He now has fleet of Citations. Maybe there is a message there for McCormick and his crew and I do know there are a few gliding pilots in high places in CASA these days.
