Contact the Berrima District Aero Club. They fly from Mittagong A/f which is
just off the Hume Motorway and depending on where you start in Sydney can be a
good run without any traffic lights (110km, 1 hr 20 mins from CBD). Admittedly
it was 2009 when I last had contact with the club but at the time there was
room for new hangars and some for rent. I was about to import my Stemme from
Europe but in the end sold it and my need for a hangar went away.
Another option is Wollongong, Albion Park, (100km, 1 hr 25 mins from CBD),
great airfield but not sure of immediate hangar availability.
Closer to Sydney the options aren't realistic unless one throws money at
the problem.
