Authoritarian stupidity knows no bounds.
Locally CASA is running a war on aircraft maintenance organisations.
This will surely help aviation safety. Clubs running tugs are already
feeling the effects.
Mostly it is all about paperwork issues, not actual unsafe conditions.
Then again I was once at a GFA airworthiness meeting where some
dickhead stood up and proclaimed loudly that he didn't care how many
pieces of paper it took if it made things "safer".
I've never found a glider that could read, so I don't see how, but
there you go.
