Depending how old it is it may not have the latest firmware version in it.
That needs to be done in the factory (for a fee). The latest versions
are an improvement on the earlier ones particularly in the audio.

Good morning all
While visiting a gliding friend in NZ I was given his B400 with a
request to put it up for sale in Australia.
This audio vario allows a stand-by power supply by four AA size
Alkaline batteries and can therefore be
used as a replacement of a mechanical variometer and flask.
This B 400 has never been used and is still in its original package.
Any offer over A$ 400 will be passed
on to the owner.
