Having used various riggers on a few Std, 15m, 18m, and with the other pilot 20m 2-seaters, they seem to be a fantastic tool. The cheapest one I found was a used Udo for $300. Needed some paint, and dirt removing from the worm gear. It's just a Bilstein jack as used on Mercedes. Solo rigging the heavy ASH26E took an hour and a quarter from closed trailer to self-launch. About the same for 15m gliders with water ballast. Most gliders are easy to take apart by yourself with a rigger. Very handy if the airport is desolate when you land. Jim
