what needs to be calibrated? 
 
If is just an offset of the barometric scale then you can adjust it yourself
with a long fine chisel screw driver. The screw is in the pneumatic
connection. Just pull the instrument hose off and adjust it to the altitude
you are at and to the actual pressure. To get the pressure either use a
recently calibrated altimeter as reference or get it from the nearest
airport or best do your calibration close to the airport that you have the
pressure of.

Can anyone recommend a reliable instrument company that can calibrate 2 1/4”
or 57mm Winter altimeters?  I have heard stories of a Moorabbin instrument
company whose repairs have been satisfactory .  What is the typical cost of
a calibration?
