Another flight recorder gets IGC approval. There are now 47 of them, and still people try to claim badges with non-approved loggers, or loggers that are not approved for the level of performance they are attempting. The three approval levels are: 1. 'up to Diamonds' meaning Silver, Gold, Diamond badge flights. 2. 'IGC Badges and Distance Diplomas (all)', meaning Silver, Gold, Diamond badges, and 1000km, 1500km, 2000km distance diplomas. 3. 'All Flights' meaning badges, distance diplomas, and Records. >> Do not get confused with 'Position Recorders' which are NOT IGC 'Approved Flight Recorders' and in Australia this means all Flarms and the 'FlyWithCE' which have special rules to enable you to use these with Silevr and Gold badge flights. You must check before you rely on these devices for any badge attempt. All the rules are in the Sporting Code.
