John I for about 8 years run an exchange service for Becker Dittel microphones. Usually the issue is failed boom and they are Dynamic Mic. There are a few variations of same and will check what I have. I no longer have new inserts for the mic and can no longer get them. I do make a Dynamic version of my microphone at $110. Most of these seem to finish up in Century Mine up near Burketown!!
I have made over 2500 microphones over the years and am first to admit the early ones were a bit ordinary. For the past 1500 or so they are brass fill (was Aluminium which was a disaster). I make 3 versions a 11mm flex and 49cm long and 10mm flex and 43cm long and a 9mm flex 35cm long but only fro JS1 canopy mount. Preamp is in head of microphone. I used to make Microair Mics 10 years ago but they changed and trust me there has been a fare share of issues (Ask Sailplane Services NZ or Bob Ward) For past 10 years have made Xcom Booms. If you ever hear of people needing xcoms I can save a lot on the bottom line and have sold about 130 units to gliding. I make an Aircraft wire Harness for $75 for singe seater where xcom charge $275!!!!
