I'm using one of these Avier flight computers and am very happy with it. It's
great for those who don't want to sacrifice dashboard space for the large
screens of Clearnavs etc.
Easy to download flights via usb cable or removing ssd card. (not an IGC
approved logger)

The additional serial input works well and means that XCSoar doesn't stop
indicating wind direction and strength after 10 mins of non-circling flight.
i.e airspeed input from vario allows it to calculate wind direction and
strength at all times.

Cheers,

Greg.

If I get enough interest I'll bring in another batch of AViers with the
sunlight visible screen.

I can get a batch of 10 shipped next Monday. A$357.50 inc carry case and micro
SD card.

These run XCSoar nicely (latest version seems to be considerably cleaned up)
and you can connect a data output vario like the B800/B600 to one serial input
and a Flarm to the other.

Glider Tools have a nice dual input data buffer device the RS USBDUO which
also includes a switch mode power supply for around A$100. I've also located a
source of replacement lithium batteries for the Avier for when they die.
