Subject: [Aus-soaring] F/A 18 Simulator at Bathurst this weekend

Hi All,

The Royal Australian Air Force will be hosting a Simulator Experience at
Bathurst Airport on Sunday 12 <x-apple-data-detectors://3> th
<x-apple-data-detectors://3> <x-apple-data-detectors://3> October. The
simulator experience is open to those aged between 12-27yr who are genuinely
interested in becoming a Pilot, Air Combat Office or Air Traffic Controller.

The experience of flight can be described as magical, a sense freedom and
exhilarating! Flying a F/A-18F Super Hornet is all that and more, best thing is
and you can now have this experience, as close as you can get to the real thing!

The Air Force Fighter Pilot experience puts you and 3 others in a realistic
training mission. The two F/A-18F Super Hornet simulators controlled by Air
Combat Officers (ACO) in a simulated Wedgetail radar environment, allows you to
feel like a fight pilot, whilst also having the chance to manage the battle
space as the Air Combat Officer and Joint Battlefield Airspace Controller
(JBAC). The F/A-18F simulators are controlled in 2 teams, each team has the
mission objective to shoot down the other team. You’ll soon find out that team
work is key to your mission success in shooting the other aircraft down.
Everyone gets to experience all positions within the virtual battle space,
you’ll find out that this is one of the most exciting offices to be in!
