A group of pilots mainly from Beaufort GC but also Bendigo and the Grampians
spent a very pleasant week at Tocumwal enjoying the friendly hospitality at
the Southern Riverina GC. Ingo and Judy amongst other run a 7 day operation
and Ingo provides a weather forecast each day including a suggested task.
With Ingo¹s 4 World Championships, 19 National Championships, an OAM, VSA
Living Treasure status and 36,000 gliding hours with 31,000 instructing
hours, he is very well equipped to do just that. Ingo has just been inducted
into the Australian Aviation Hall of Fame! Congratulations Ingo.

There is daily launching with their Cessna 150F tug weather permitting. We
had some days above 10,000 feet but then the troughs (plural) got us.

There is plenty of accommodation in Tocumwal including camping. Many of us
stayed at the All Seasons Motel which has weekly rate of $50/night. The
rooms have fully sized fridges, split air conditioners and are well equipped
with cooking facilities in each room, a central BBQ and a pool to boot.

Cheers
