My understanding is that you have to delete all of your user content yourself. Manually. Seriously. That is every photo, comment made on a photo, status update, message sent/received. *Only then* can you contact facebook and ask them to delete your account (as opposed to deactivate it). That is not going to be tedious at all. Of course, you have no control over information OTHER people have uploaded about you. I guess that is one way to be able to present awesome figures to investors! 250million users and 0% churn! It also had a hard time coping with my so-called "name change".
