I normally find this is due to a geolocation mismatch. There are numerous 
different ip-to-geolocation databases, but I normally find IP2Location, 
Maxmind, and the geoloc field in your whois records are enough.

 

You can check the various databases eg from something like 
https://whatismyipaddress.com/geolocation-providers.

Hi All,

 

We are after a contact at Foxtel Go/ Kayo Sports . Our customers are 
encountering  issues streaming video on these platforms and get an error 
message saying "a vpn or proxy server was detected". Our customers ( over 100 
now) have confirmed that there is no vpn turned on  and can replicate the issue 
on native  tv apps, mobile apps and browsers. 

 

Has anyone seen this before? Any guidance would be appreciated.
