Used to use a WiSpy (http://www.metageek.com/products/wi-spy/)

Paired with their software it was pretty  good.

I can think of a couple of options, not sure if either would suit you

1) Nexus phone/tablet, Kali and airodump-ng, free if you already have device.

2) Fluke aircheck, around $1500
