"All the ugly numbers associated with the profit margin destruction that will hit the telecommunications sector over the next four years were laid bare in NBN Co's corporate plan on Thursday. The latest breakdown of NBN Co's revenue released in early August for the year to June showed that about a third came from the dreaded CVC charges for downloading data. CVC charges earned NBN Co $299 million in the year to June out of total revenue of $1 billion. The 2018 to 2021 corporate plan released on Thursday says NBN Co's revenue will rise from $1 billion now to $5 billion in 2021. It is expected about half of that revenue will come from CVC charges."
