I've had about 7 or 8 people from AUSNOG confirm they're seeing services
impacted and Telstra are giving us pretty much no information even though it's
resulting in multiple services being effectively hard down with 99% packet loss.

I do see that Exhibition fault was supposed to be resolved and was from
yesterday, although we only saw this start at around 742am today so may be
unrelated.

Subject: RE: Telstra Wholesale Outage in Equinix ME1

Happy Thursday

We aren't in ME1 however we've been getting sporadic reports of TW transmission
issues all over Melbourne CBD/ Inner East this morning. There was a resolved
transmission fault at Exhibiton 5:20EST, but there's still a cryptic Telstra
outage notification in Melbourne CBD on the Telstra service status page. Looks
like internet is borked today.

Services should be restored:
By Monday 18 September
Last updated 12:38pm
Cause: Cable damage caused by independent construction in the area

Subject: [AusNOG] Telstra Wholesale Outage in Equinix ME1

Hi Guys,

Is their anyone else on list who has a TW aggregated head-end in Equinix ME1
who is experiencing any issues this morning? We are able to see MAC addresses
across the physical port but have customers reporting that services are
flapping.
