It all depends on the location.

I have had some malls have Fiber directly to the shop, If it’s a new mall this
will be Fibre to the shop.

Most have FTTB as what Simon has mentioned below.

If NBN mark it as HFC then ill expect it to be FTTB.

Simon,

From our experience they are delivering it as Fibre to the Basement. Which is
essentially FTTN.
At the MDF they have their fibre cabinet that converts it to a copper VDSL
service.
They install two more Copper frames at the MDF and this is where it gets
delivered to.
It is then the responsibility of the ISP/Customer to get it to the shop from
there.

Cheers
Ross

Hi All,

Bit of a novice question but how does delivery of NBN products work in places
like shopping centres?

Specifically where will the service be delivered and what is considered
contestable works? Does NBN get delivered to the MDF or to the business shop
front?

We are currently looking at what options and price of contestable works is a
bit of an unknown.

Cheers,

Simon T.
