The version of Calc Chapter 1I just finished editing a couple days ago
was the last review of it performed in or near January by one of our
newer reviewer--who did a good job... But still, there were some
omissions and such that editors know exist and will find and fix them.
As to where it was parked or reparked on the OOoAuthors website during
the past two months, I do not know, as I made a local copy for my
computer two months ago.
In order not to create yet another version for the OOoAuthors website
just now (because Chapter 1 still needs rewriting...), I chose to park
my copyedit on my forum site, so that it would be easier to locate and
work on further. I plan to do likewise for other Calc and Writer
chapters in a bit.
Right now, I am switching over my MS-hosted 1and1.com account to a
larger account. So, that is my priority for today--downloading
everything from its server onto my local computers. The forum site is
hosted on FreeForums.org, so that website is not affected by today's
migration. A mirror of the FreeForums.org forum--for OOoAuthors use--is
on my Linux-hosted 1and1.com account. That is not affected either.

I copy edited (using version 3.3.0 m74) Chapter 1 of the Calc guide that was
last reviewed and edited back around January. So anybody who worked on it, plus
any others, should check it out. Some missing text should be added in a section
or two, in order to fill in some voids. So, a volunteer (re)writer could step
in for any needed text.
I uploaded a ZIP file containing the edited ODT file, plus two PDFs--one showing the edit
tracking and the other as if all the edits were accepted. Both PDFs are enabled by Adobe
Acrobat Pro for Adobe "review and comment" functions, whereby any user can make
editing markup directly upon the PDFs using only the simple Adobe Reader. Some
reviewers/editors might see if that PDF-markup capability is useful or not. This article
demonstrates how to use review and comment:
http://www.aroundhawaii.com/business/technology/2006-08_review_and_comment_in_adobe_reader.html.
It's simple: any school kid can do it...
I parked them as an attachment in my somewhat dormant technical-editor forum,
so that any comments there need not interfere with the e-mail listing. In
addition, the threading on a forum site might be better for housekeeping
purposes. Its URL: http://technicaleditor.freeforums.org/post168.html#p168.
Gary.
