Thanks for forwarding this to the list Jean. I've been running a bit behind on everything the past few days. The bounty concept is something I've been working on with one of the core OOo developers (Juergen) and the OOo Community Council. The intent is to encourage people to work on the more difficult documentation - the documentation that requires significant knowledge or understanding of the inner workings of OOo. The focus of the bounties will be Developer documentation as Jean pointed out, and this is generally outside the scope of the work we do within the Doc Project. In some cases, there will be virtually zero resources to draw on (eg Python Binding), and in other cases there is info, but it's scattered in the Wiki, Forums, and mailing lists (eg AddOns). Mentoring will be available from the Developers, but quite limited due to time/schedule/availability etc. Right now, we're collecting names of people who are interested in the bounties (the bounties are open to everyone), and early next week (21/22 June) Juergen and I hope to start assigning doc tasks. If you have any questions, just ask. This is new to all of us, and we are testing out this concept, so we have a little to learn about how to make it work out :-) http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Bounties C. -- Clayton Cornell [email protected] OpenOffice.org Documentation Project co-lead --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
