Hi everyone, recently I've become member of Authors Team. I do not have broad TW experience, but have a great passion to become top-rated TW and have read some books, recently finished reading Kaplan University's TW guide (which was of great help for me as a novice). As far as I understand, in order to participate in Guide's development and creation, I just need to reply to proper offers of creation/editing/revision of Guide's chapters and start my work. Please let me know whether my understanding of Authors workflow is correct.
Regards, Svetlana P.S. Apologies in case I adressed my intro letter to wrong mailing list. ________________________________ From: Jean Hollis Weber <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thu, July 15, 2010 10:31:20 AM Subject: Re: [authors] Base Guide (was: Mentoring PING Katrise) On Wed, 2010-07-14, John Kane wrote: > > On Tue, 13 Jul 2010, "Jean Hollis Weber" wrote: > > > > As far as I can tell, John Kane had been planning to review Ch2 of the > > Base Guide but was having software problems and has not started working > > on it yet. When you reinstalled OOo, did you delete (or rename, or move) your personal settings folder so OOo will recreate it? I've found that sometimes the cause of a problem lurks in there (especially if I've used any developers' builds or pre-release OOo versions), and getting rid of that folder cures the problems. --Jean --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
