Andrew, that's just what I had in mind. And I see Nino and TJ have
talked with you about creating an extension for the specific purpose of
OOoAuthors volunteers using TJ's code. Excellent!

Regarding adding the more generic info to the user guide, the starting
point would be code to be copied and pasted from an email or a website.
I think that's the case which newbies have difficulty figuring out,
without some very specific instructions such as those you have given
below. I know I have trouble with it, since I don't do this often (maybe
once a year or less often).

Another starting point could be a library that can be downloaded; I
don't know how to do that either.

I have in mind to put this info into the section "Writing macros without
the recorder" in Getting Started with Macros (Ch13 of GS). That is your
chapter; do you have time to draft it? Not urgent, but by early
September would be good.
