In March, I asked for a volunteer for this project, but I got no takers. Perhaps with all the new members of the group, someone will feel like taking this on, so I'm repeating my call for help.
XForms are a type of web form. An XForms document is a special type of Writer document. It has similarities with a normal form, but also significant differences. The Design Mode for an XForm document has additional toolbars and panes. We need someone to write (or update) a tutorial/how-to that can be referenced from the Writer Guide. A good place to start is J David Eisenberg's tutorial, "XForms and OpenDocument in OpenOffice.org", available at http://www.oooauthors.org/english/user_howtos/xforms_ooo_06_08_15.odt/view, amending or updating it as needed. The author has given us permission to use it as we wish. There is a tutorial/how-to already on the wiki, which draws upon Eisenberg's work, but IMO we need a lower-level tutorial as well. http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Using_XForms (It refers to a downloadable ODT.) --Jean --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
