Radek Dobias expressed interest in working on the Base Guide. I've started a new thread for this, as it was getting lost in a thread about Impress.
Radek, the person driving the Base Guide is Dan Lewis, with various people contributing. I believe Dan is in the process of revising Chapters 1, 2, and 3 based on recent feedback, so they are not on the Review List, but of course you can take a copy to read them. As well as some restructuring, you'll notice that serious copyediting is needed (some contributors have English as a second or third language), but we'll worry about that after Dan's revisions. He is also well into writing Chapter 4. Expanding the outline with more detail would be a good first step.
