Hi Regina I got to thinking about this a bit more. I see that it does extend the range. Unfortunately this was not stated anywhere in the text and hence to a casual user sets out half the story only. :=(
I undeleted the edit and added a comment about range extension. The edited file is now uploaded to the cg_feedback folder replacing my previous version of this afternoon. What confused me was that if I edit a formula referencing this extended range, it seems to show the range starting at cell A1 even though the range was nowhere near A1. The result of the calculations I made just now (max and countblank) were however correct. Good call by you thanks regards Martin On Sun, 23 Jan 2011 16:58:49 +0100 Regina Henschel <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Martin, > > Martin Fox schrieb: > > I reviewed Ch 7. > > On p9 I added a little text to go with Figures 4,5,6. > > > > On p12 under range operators I deleted the > > (A2:B4):C9 > > example as > > a.
